We are dedicated to creating immersive and unforgettable experiences inspired by fantasy, literature, and history. Our passion for storytelling and community engagement drives us to design events that transport our guests to magical realms and historical eras.
Novel Bound Events was founded by me, Sophie, because I wanted, no needed, an outlet for my love of literature and travel! No matter how many local book clubs I joined, none of them quite scratched the itch. The itch I later realised was a desire to step into the worlds of my favourite books...to see the world as it is but also how it appears in literature. And I knew there must be more people out there to join me on the journey!

With over six years experience in the world of travel, including looking after (very fast) VIPs, plus time supporting events in the charity sector, and a lifetime of reading at every possible moment, I felt it was time to combine my work experience with my passion for literature.
I love getting lost in a new book, or returning to the comforts of a familiar novel. I also spend a lot of time playing D&D or exploring open world games ... To be able to take that to the next level, aka to step into those worlds, is a dream come true.
I love every minute of curating these immersive and tailormade itineraries. My dream is to run literature inspired tours across the globe, bringing together passionate readers and offering them the opportunity to be at the heart of their own adventure.

We have so much hidden history in our past, all waiting to be unlocked...
I am an avid ancient historian and the author of numerous books on ancient history, covering the stories of the Sumerian, Greek, and Roman gods, among other historical interests. I am a keen researcher on the paranormal .
I have also written film scripts that have been adapted into movies.
In the early days of Live Action Role-Playing (LARP) in the 1980s, I was one of the first to take part in the movement.
My pride and joy are his signed Fighting Fantasy books, personally autographed by the two authors.
My preferred book genres are fantasy and sci-fi. You can't beat Back to the Future for a perfectly written story.
